Planning Your Evening with The Denver Brass Venues, directions and seating maps below. If you have further questions, call us at 303-832-HORN(4676)!
What Do I Wear? You’re in Colorado! This means that concert attire can range all the way from Colorado Casual to Cocktail Attire (tux or an evening gown would be lovely New Year’s Eve). Costumes are encouraged at “Night of the Living Brass,” and you’ll find lots of folks in green, plaids, and even kilts when it comes time for “Brass, Bagpipes & Co.” It’s nice to refrain from wearing heavy colognes or perfumes, as many performers and audience members have allergies to these products.
When Should I Arrive? It’s best to arrive early for all concerts, as we seat late-comers only during breaks between concert pieces. Plan to arrive at the Newman Center 20 minutes early, just in case there is a line to get in the parking structure. At other venues, it is safe to plan to arrive 15 minutes early.
How Long are Performances? Premier Series at Newman Center for the Performing Arts and Classic Series at Bethany Lutheran Church are approximately 1:45 to 2:00 in total length. Included in this show time is a 20 minute intermission. Discovery Series and Tiny Tots concerts are approximately 1 hour in length with no intermission.
May I Bring Children? Children who are able to sit quietly are welcome at Denver Brass concerts. New ticket prices for children at all venues make The Denver Brass more family-friendly than ever before. If you’re not sure about your child’s capacity to sit through a concert, start them at a “Discovery” concert where special concert host, children’s activity pages, and opportunities for movement and rhythmic activity are guaranteed to engage our youngest listeners!
Coughing and Other Noises The listening experience is greatly enhanced by the elimination of distracting sounds such as coughing or electronic beeps. Please silence all electronic devices upon entry into the concert hall, and see an usher if cough drops are needed.
Refunds and Exchanges Newman Center Policy - All tickets for Gates Concert Hall in the Newman Center for the Performing Arts are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
