Artistic Director

Kathy, along with husband Chuck, is co-founder of The Denver Brass. She is principal tubist with Denver Brass, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Music and Co-Chair of the Brass Department at the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music. Kathy’s work is her play, but in addition to music-making, she enjoys historic restoration, skiing, and leisure time with friends, husband, children and grandchildren.

A part of the DB team since 2010, Becky is our Executive Director by day. She recently completed her MBA from the University of Colorado Denver, and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Denver, Lamont School of Music. With responsibilities varying from hiring contracted services to show production, Becky’s alternate title is Puppet Master. When not commuting to/from Georgetown or solving problems in the DB office, Becky spends her time skiing, biking, quilting and practicing her horn in order to come out of semi-retirement.

Associate Director

Becki Kaye graduated from Colorado Christian University and explored various career paths before she found herself happily settled with Denver Brass. Becki Kaye has a degree in Music Education and spent two years teaching public school. She is passionate about students and their musical endeavors and continues teaching today. Becki Kaye is a Colorado native with a passion for hiking and the outdoors. Most weekends you can find her and her dog, Sadie, hiking the trails or camping all around the state of Colorado.

Long-time trombonist of The Denver Brass, freelance musician, studio teacher, winner of Wheel of Fortune, and our delightfully witty librarian, Jeff has been wandering up to DBHQ a few times a week since 2005. Jeff makes everyone smile and laugh and between these efforts, creates new publications and manages our bulging Denver Brass library.

Carrie McCune

Operations & Communications

Carrie is a graduate of the Lamont School of Music. A freelance Trumpet player, she also performs with local Denver bands Mama Magnolia, The Other Black and String & Cord. When she's not playing the Trumpet, you can find her practicing Kathak, a traditional dance style from Northern India.
