2018 Denver Brass Season Concerts

Happy New Year! We are excited to announce our show-stopping 2018 concert lineup, featuring five concerts to fill your new year with plenty of brass! 

We're kicking things off with Denver Brass: A Space Odyssey, on January 14th at 2:00pm, at the Lone Tree Arts Center. If you've already had your fill of Jedi and Sith at the movies, you won't want to miss this intergalactic concert as we boldly go where no brass ensemble has gone before! Come revel in the music of the universe, as we perform selections from Holst's The PlanetsApollo 13, Independence DayStar TrekAlso Sprach Zarathustra, and more! Tickets for this concert must be purchased directly through the Lone Tree Arts Center, either online at www.lonetreeartscenter.org, or by calling 720-509-1000. 

Next, you won't want to miss Bourbon Street Brass, on February 10th at 7:30pm & February 11th at 2:00pm, at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts. We are excited to welcome guest artist Alan Hood as our Jazz Trumpet soloist. Journey with us to the heart of New Orleans where elements of African, Caribbean, Latin and European music come together to create America's original and iconic music - Jazz! From Blues and Gospel to Dixieland and Swing, we'll party on down with the sounds born of our American soul. 

March will bring two unique opportunities to get your Celtic fix with our audience-favorite Brass & Bagpipes collaboration concerts. First, we will present Echoes of the Emerald Isles, on March 10th & 11th at 3:00pm, at Bethany Lutheran Church. We will be joined by Celtic Colorado Pipes & Drums and Rick Seaton on Pipe Organ for an afternoon of unparalleled Celtic inspiration in an acoustically magnificent setting. Pipe organ, brass and bagpipes will come together to create a riveting and emotional celebration of Colorado's Celtic heritage. 

Second, Brass, Bagpipes & Co: Off Kilt-er will run March 16th & 17th at 7:30pm and March 18th at 2:00pm at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts. This will be a full-blown St. Patrick's Day extravaganza with one of the largest guest lineups we've ever had. We're excited to be joined by Celtic Colorado Pipes & Drums, Wick School of Irish Dance, Rocky Mountain Highland Dancers, Joanna & Iain Hyde, Fiddle & Guitar, and Todd Teske, Tenor. This concert sells out annually, so don't wait too long to buy your tickets or a sneaky Leprechaun might steal your seats! 

Last, but certainly not least, Brass of the Caribbean will be on April 21st at 7:30pm and April 22nd at 3:00pm at Bethany Lutheran Church. Set sail with our special guests, Tom Miller & Pan Nation Steel Drums, as we explore the clear blue waters of the Caribbean. We've commandeered a ship carrying the finest brass players in the world and journeyed to a land of exotic island rhythms. We'll groove to classic island tunes including Bob Marley's Jammin'Besame MuchoLe Village St. JeanHot! Hot! Hot! and more.
